Viral marketing as a way to enhance your online money making business is hot these days. The way it spreads a marketing message can be very effective. The idea of Internet viral marketing is to have your marketing message spread like a virus, as the name implies.

There are many well-known ways of creating a buzz through Internet viral marketing. One can utilize site links, referral programs and other viral marketing techniques to reach his target audience. It a great idea to start your online marketing business with the viral marketing concept in mind.  To do this you need to use the right techniques. 

This article is part three and the last part of several articles on some of the viral marketing techniques that are available on the Internet.  Read Parts 1 and 2  to get my full list of viral techniques, which by the way is not complete.  Every day new viral techniques are found so no list will ever be complete.

Using forums and discussion boards (using signatures)

If one has a discussion board in his website, he might as well let people use it for free. An advertisement at the top of the discussion board will definitely be an effective way to market the website.

Start your own affiliate program (one of the best method to generating traffic and sales)

Affiliate programs give incentives to webmasters to put up your banners into their websites. This is one of the most popular viral marketing techniques today.

Joint Ventures

Special arrangements can be made with the webmasters so as to maximize the potentials of the banners and minimize the cost of putting them up.

Provide free guestbook

Providing a free guestbook will attract people because it is an avenue where they can share their ideas and these ideas will eventually be read by others.

Provide free forum

Forums are quite popular. People love to have conversations and forums are one of the main reasons why people visit a certain website.

Pay per click advertising is probably the most economical way to advertise your online money making business. You pay only when a someone clicks on your ad and goes to the site that you have directed them to. This can be either your website or to a website you are affiliated with. The advantage of pay per click advertising is that you do not need a website, and this is an ideal way for online money making newbies to start to earn money without a major investment.

The reason Pay per click adverting is so economical is that you only pay for actual clicks on your ads. Pay per click internet advertising lists ads according to the amount bid for the keywords used in the ad. Accordingly, to have an ad ranked high, the amount bid for its key words must be relatively high.

Google Adwords and Yahoo Search Marketing are the two most popular Pay per Click programs on the net.

Another advantage of Pay per Click programs is that you can constantly monitor the progress of your ads, edit your keywords, change the bids on your keywords, and change the daily budget. This can be done anytime and any number of times. If you find your ads are not working for you, you can pause the ad, change it or simply delete it.

You can analyze your keywords and find out which works best. You can also test viability of the products for which you are an affiliate of or thinking of becoming.

Does Your Website Work For Your Online Money Making Business?

A website that works for your online money making business is a website that achieves your goals and objectives. Here are some of the questions to ask to decide if your website is working to meet these goals and objectives.

•    Are your sales in line with your expectations or are you only making occasional sales?
•    Look at your sales pages. Are they attractive, but not overdone? Are they honest and straight forward? Are they well written? Can you improve them?
•    Does your website attract reasonable traffic?
•    Are you getting return traffic?
•    Do your visitors stay long enough to view the complete site or do they run?

Then ask yourself the following about your website.

•    Who cares about your website?
•    What are your expectations about your website?
•    What kind of visitors are viewing your website?
•    What are your priorities?
•    How should you measure your website?

WHO CARES?

If you are a  one person business or even if you are a small company and the owner of the company, you obviously are the one who cares most about your online money making website. If you are part of a larger organization, and the website is under you,  make sure there is one person assigned the responsibility for the website and bringing all other interested parties together to establish the goals and objectives of the web site. Everyone should care, but you need one person who clearly has the overall responsibility for the website.

WHAT ARE YOUR EXPECTATIONS?

Either you or the person responsible for the website will have to work with everyone who has a stake in the website to develop a plan for the website that will unify their needs into a set of objectives which will meet your organization’s goals.

WHAT KIND OF VISITORS COME TO YOUR WEBSITE?

Every website has an array of visitors that include first time visitors, returning visitors, the curious, buyers, visitors that arrives by mistake, visitors who take one glance and leave, visitors who spend time on the site and so on.  Using Google Analytics you can get an idea of what kind of visitors you are getting.

WHAT ARE YOUR PRIORITIES?

What kind of visitors do you want? Do you want visitors that come back, ones that read the most pages, buy the most stuff, buy more frequently or spend the most money?

Once you have decided what kind of visitors are the most important for your company, you can measure the kind of visitors you are getting against this to determine whether your website is meeting your goals and is working well for your company.

MEASURING SUCCESS.

If your main goal is developing a strong web presence with the idea that you will gradually grow your business for long term success, then the number of visitors could be the most important indication for you of success.  You can use www.Alexa.com for its ranking to help you evaluate that.  Google Analytics can also assist you.

If your main goal is sales, then your revenues will tell you if you are meeting your goals.

Possibly, your main objective is customer satisfaction. One indication of customer satisfaction would be the percentage of returns. Another might be to request customers to fill out a questionnaire, which includes questions about their level of satisfaction.

In fact, your measure of success is probably a combination of all of these.  But you need to evaluate these measures continually to determine if you are improving how your website is working against your objectives and goals. It is this continual evaluation that will keep your online money making business improving and reaching your online money making goals.

Three Simple Ways to Get Your Online Money Making Business Started Even If You Have No Product

Are you thinking about trying to make money online but don’t have a product?

There are several ways to make money online even if you don’t have a product to sell. Keep in mind that running an online business takes time and effort. It’s just like running any business. However, it is possible to get started without any product, which is a major roadblock for most people wanting to start a business.

You don’t need to be a computer expert to run an online money making business, but you do need to either be able to set up a website, or have the resources to pay someone else to do it for you.

Here are 3 simple ways to make money online even if you don’t have your own product:

Affiliate programs. Being an affiliate means you are selling other people’s products, and you get a percentage of the sale, or you make a small fee for each person who requests more information. Most major retailers offer affiliate programs, along with many smaller retailers (with lots of good products and services). It’s not a good idea to try to compete with an established retailer like Wal-Mart, Target, or Circuit City. A better way to make money is to find a niche that serves a smaller group of people, that you can easily reach.

For example, rather than selling sporting goods to everyone, you might start a fishing site that sells canoes and fishing products to people who like fresh water fishing. You can also find smaller retailers who may offer more specialized products to those who know a lot about fishing, while selling the basics from Wal-Mart to beginners.

A good place to start is Commission Junction (http://www.CJ.com), and you’ll get an idea of the products you can offer. Be creative in finding your niche, start with something you know a little about, or enjoy doing, and before long you can be making money online!

Adsense from Google. Adsense is an advertising program from search engine Google.com (there are other advertising programs you can offer, but for now Google’s is the biggest and most popular). By placing ads on your site, you earn money for each person who clicks on the ad. Google will automatically determine which ads are best for your site, based on the topic of each web page. All you have to do is place the code on your web page, and Google does the rest.

You can also sell individual ads, and determine your own terms and price. But using a program like Google is simple, and if your set gets a lot of visitors, you can make good money. Again, the best way to succeed is to find a niche, create a website around that topic, and Google will be able to determine the best ads for your visitors.

Write a “How-To booklet”. If you don’t want to sell other people’s products, but don’t have the money to create your own, a simple way to get started is to write your own “how-to” booklet. Pick a topic you know enough to write about, and start writing. Information products are always good sellers.  The key is to solve a particular problem. “How to catch fresh water fish” or “How to plan a fishing vacation on a tight budget” are possibilities for the fishing niche mentioned above.

To learn more, do a search for “creating information products” or “writing e-books”, and you will find lots of resources. Once you create your product, Clickbank.com offers a simple service to help you sell your information product, and there are others to help you get started.

Again, be creative, there are lots of problems out there that people need help with. And offering a good solution can make you lots of money!

Making money online takes more than just building a website. You need to pick the right products or services. Then you need to find the right audience to sell those products and services. Then you need to promote your website to enough people so you can make money. For now, you should have enough ideas to get you started even if you don’t have a product to sell yet.

Online Money Making Possibilities – Should I Buy This Product or Not?

Every day we are inundated with emails about various online marketing possibilities, which basically pose to us this question.  Should we buy or not buy? Since these are marketing proposals, of course, they are loaded with hype.  Not to say that they are not legitimate proposals, but hyped none the less.

So how do we decide?  Here are some thoughts on an approach to making these decisions.

1. First of all is the product in line with your goals and objectives or will it divert you from the direction you are working toward?

2. If it is in line with your goals, do you have time to pursue it?  You have a planned work schedule, but is it already full or do you have time to take on a new project, even if it fits with your other projects?

3. Is this the time to buy this product?  Has it been tested in the market place.  Of course, part of the hype will come as “proof” that the seller has made a fortune from it while eating breakfast in his pajamas, but how long has it been on the market?  Can it really be that good?  Even if it fits your overall goals, maybe, you should wait to see if it lasts the test of time.

4. Of course, the price is always a consideration.  If it seems over priced, obviously, you will not buy, but if not, you have to decide if you can afford it.  In fact you may decide that it is such a good fit with your objectives, that you need to purchase it at any cost.  Then you will need to look for ways to accomplish that.  If the product truly is one of a kind that would help to complete your overall goals, then go for it.  Look for an imaginative way to finance it.  It almost always can be done.

This whole argument is hardly hypothetical.  I receive some thirty to fifty emails each day from internet marketers. Almost all of them contain either direct or veiled offers for internet marketing products.  It is almost impossible not to check out a few that sound intriguing.  And each time I have to go through the decision making process similar to the above.

So keep these questions in mind as you read offers that you receive , and make sue you have your eye on your goals and planned direction for your online marketing money making business and you think carefully about each one before you buy it.

Your Online Money Making Opportunities – Jump Start Your Online Money Making Business

You have set up your new online money making business.  You have your new web site up and running.  You have you opt in site working in conjunction with an auto responder to generate a list.  And both sites are great if you do say so yourself.  But where is the traffic?  So you need ideas on how to get people to look at your site.

There are lots of ways, but here are some of the best ways to jump start your online money making business.

1.  Set up a Google Adwords campaign.  This is easy to do.  Just log into Google’s Adwords site and follow the directions..  However, there are several things that you need to do with care,  Firstly, you will need to write several ads.  It’s not hard,  Make sure to use the specific key words you have used in your site title and meta tags.  Check them with Google’s Keyword Tracker to make sure they are not over used  to avoid attracting viewers who have no real interest in what you are promoting.  Also, take a look at any Google page and you will see ads on the right edge of the page.  They will give you ideas on how to write an ad.  Finally, you will have to put in a maximum amount you want to pay for each ad.  Start small, maybe 10 cents, with a small monthly budget and see how they do.  You can gradually add money if you feel it is worthwhile.

2. Set up a blog.  You can set up a free blog either through Google’s Blogger.com or Wordpress. com.  With Wordpress you need to pick a theme.  Do not use a default theme as it gives the idea that you are looking for a quick fix.  But pick one of the many free themes that Wordpress offers and go with it.  Also, check out the many plug-ins that Wordpress offers on their dot org web site. They can add a lot of functionality to your blog.  Then blog often making sure to high light key words in your blog through italics and link several to your web site.

3. Write articles about your online money making business and submit them to some of the article directories such as ezines, goarticles, articlesbase and others.  You cannot link to your web site in your article, but you can put a link in your profile that accomplishes the same thing.

4. Use the Social Networking Sites to promote your web site.  There are many, and if you are not already using them, you have heard of them.  I haven’t space to list them all, but several of the main ones are Twitter, Face Book, Digg, My Space and Delicious. You can include a link to your site in most of them, but you may want to shorten your web site URL to save space for your comments.   Bitly will do this for you at no charge.

If you get into any of these sites, you should not just set it up to run automatically, but should interact with your followers.  It will be well worth your while to build up an interactive group which includes others involved with online money making businesses, who tend to support each other.

5. Two other sites that can drive traffic to your site are to set up a Sqiidoo Lens and a  Hub Page.  Google in particular loves Squidoo so a Squidoo Lens (Page) is a great way to drive traffic. You can post short articles with good content to these sites which talk about your business and link back to your web site.

This will give you a start, and will certainly give your online money making business the jump start you are looking for.

Online Money Making Opportunities – What are the Best Online Money Making Opportunities?

There are many money making opportunities online.  Some are better than others, and some take a great deal of work to develop into something real.  Here is a list of the main ones that come to mind.  I am sure there are many more.
•    Paid Surveys.  If you “google” paid surveys, the top line will tell you that if you click there, you will find the top 50 surveys paying $25 to $75 per survey.   I don’t know, but I have tried my hand at paid surveys, and was really disappointed.  The survey’s that claimed to pay, didn’t really pay.  They just put your name in a hat for a chance that you your name will get drawn.  I never won anything except points for some later purchase of something that I didn’t want.  I guess some people actually make money this way, but I am not sure how.  But you can try this one.
•    Trading on eBay.  This seems to attract a lot of people, and it probably works reasonably well for the diligent marketer.  There are two versions.   One is to buy and sell hard merchandise.  The other is to sell things as an affiliate.  This is also called “drop ship” since you don’t actually take possession of the merchandise.  It is all handled by the seller.  If you are interested in getting started with eBay, try this out.
•    Article Marketing.  Again there are a couple of versions.  Articles are useful for drawing traffic to you web site for whatever you are marketing.  You can also include affiliate links in your article (as long as you are not publishing on ezines.com) and so this becomes a type of affiliate marketing. You might find this site interesting.
•    Email marketing.  The approach is to sell your product or products through email campaigns. To do this you must have a list of prospects.  You can buy lists, but more effective is to develop a list from previous marketing efforts.  Also, using a purchased list may be considered spam if you are using an  auto responder since you really don’t know if your list has any interest in your products or not. This site might  be useful in email marketing (and others).
•    Affiliate Marketing. Everyone knows what this is, but simply stated it is marketing some one else’s products through any of the means mentioned above.  I have heard that this has been a very successful approach for many marketers.  I think it is getting so competitive that it is much more difficult than it once was.  Here are some interesting affiliate marketing idea.
•    Selling Digital Products.  These products can either be purchased as resell rights products or produced by you.  To market these products they can be sold by any of the means discussed above, but also through you own web site or blog.  You can also use Hub Pages or Squidoo Lens’s in the same way. This ebook is a good example.

So take your pick!  Maybe even better is to gradually develop a number of  these online money making opportunities.  Certainly none of them is a magic bullet.  If you find one an opportunity that works for you, go for it and get it up and running.  Then you can expand to include other approaches and diversify until you have a well rounded internet marketing operation and solved the problem of which online money making opportunity you will go for.

To Make Money Online – Pricing Your Product

A good place to start is to check out the prices of similar products in the Clickbank marketplace.  Get a range of prices and based on the description of the products try to get a feel for where your product fits in between the most expensive and the least expensive products.  Then consider trying different approaches.  For example try a low end price and see if you get impulse buying.  Alternatively, try a high end price and push urgency by explaining in your sales pitch that the product will be on the market for a limited specified time.  Decide which approach yields the most money.  Not just over a short period of time, but over the long haul.  Try prices between the two, also.  The secret is not being afraid to experiment.  It’s one of the secrets to making money online.

Make Money - Marketing Our Visions Will Help You Achieve It.You want to make money online, right?  How can you do it?  How fast can you do it?

Well, most things you read give you a couple of different ideas on this.  Two of the best ideas are affiliate marketing selling someone else’s product and buying your own reprint rights product and selling it on ebay or Craig’s list.  Also, you can buy and sell stuff on ebay or you can sell drop ship stuff as an affiliate of Amazon or similar vendors.  All of these can get you started.  But let’s be honest.

You have certainly heard of one hit wonders.  Usually, a rock band that really makes it big with one song.  Then when its popularity fades, they’re never heard of again.

A  Making Money Online business can be the same.  When you first start out, your focus is on getting started and trying to bring in money and be profitable quickly.  It makes good sense as you start up.  But once you get off the ground, you need to change your focus.  You need to stop thinking about the quick buck and start thinking about a long term Money Making Online business that will build your income steadily over the long  term.

There are a lot of steps you can take to build your long term business, but the first one to take is through backend selling.

Your backend consists of the additional sale or sales that you make after or maybe at the same time you sell your initial product.  Your backend is where your making money online business will make the most money in the long run.  So how does this all work?

To understand this you need to consider your marketing program as a sales funnel.  You pour a lot of stuff into the funnel’s big opining at the top, and it comes out of the smaller opening at the bottom.  But a sales funnel has a lot of leaks.  Not everything comes out the bottom.

Think of the first product you sell to a new buyer as the entry point to your funnel.  You price it relatively low, so lots of people buy it.  That’s the wide end of the funnel.

What you want to do is to migrate those buyers to more expensive products so you can make more money on each repeat sale to those customers.  Along the way you can also sell your customer additional products at the same or similar prices at any level of your funnel.

Not every customer will migrate all the way to the most expensive product you sell, and some who do will only buy one of your most expensive products instead of buying them all.  That’s why you can think of your funnel as having leaks.  Not every customer who enters it makes it all the way to the bottom.

But the funnel concept give you a nice picture of what you are trying to do.  You want to sell more products to exiting customers and migrate as many of those customers as possible to more expensive product over time.

Your funnel has different levels, where you sell different products at different price points.  So your initial sale is just the beginning.  If you are going to build a real Money Making Online business, you need to develop your backend sales.  When you’ve done that, you’ve began to build a serious long term Money Making Online business.
